Dixie Martial Arts Championship
Celebrating 40 years of Martial Arts
in the Ark LA Tex
*Oct 1967, Bill Pogue presented a Karate Demonstration at a Dance studio,
just off campus, at La. Tech University in Ruston, LA.
A large group of curious La. Tech Students who had seen flyers posted in the
dorms attended to watch and were very impressed with the one man show by
Sensei Pogue, and about 20 enrolled in the twice a week classes. Three of them
endured to become black belts, and Harvey Kennedy was one of them.
Sensei Pogue, Sensei Kennedy, Sensei Lloyd, Sensei Dreher, and many
generations (black belts who became instructors and taught black belts who in
turn trained more black belts,...) of Isshinryu black belts now number in the
hundreds and are located world wide.

Children Divisions start at 10 am ENTRY FEES: 1-2 Events: $35.00 Spectators: --$5; ages 4 to 12--$3; 3 years old & under-- Free We've upped the incentives: Free Tournament T-Shirt to all who Pre-Register by April 10th Have your letter postmarked by April 10th and receive a free tournament t-shirt
and a Free Tournament Patch for the first 150 to Pre-Register Pre-registration Instructions: Karate USA For pre-registration, cash (do not mail cash), checks, money order & credit/debit cards are accepted. Must be post marked by Saturday, April 10, 2008, in order to receive the FREE tournament t-shirt. Do not mail after this date! If paying by credit card, mail in the registration form along with your credit card information, or call Karate USA at 318-865-2000 and give us your credit/debit card information over the phone. 1st thru 4th Place Trophies in all events Participation medals to all competitors (5th place and lower in all events) FUN & EXCITING * BIG BEAUTIFUL TROPHIES * FAIREST JUDGING OVER 80 DIVISIONS
